Laurie's Creations
Welcome to my world of creations
I was born in the Philippines, Southeast Asia. I studied accountancy in the University of Iloilo, Philippines but I got ill when about to finish and I believe it was a Devine Intervention. When I got better I studied dressmaking and tailoring and I was certified. I then practiced and worked in a dress shop. After a few months, I ran my own dressmaking shop. I worked partime supervisor in a life plan company and I was a dealer of underwear and beauty products. I studied basic course in fashion designing to improve my skills.
When I was thirty five I got married and in 1994 I came to England, UK to live with my husband and we are blessed with two lovely daughters. I am self employed in dress-making, fashion designing and curtain making as well as alterations. I am a Filipino-British as I became a British Citizen in 1999.
In 2002 I learned Reiki and was certified Reiki Master that I can practice teaching and healing in which I combine it with my Faith and Spiritual healing. I have also a certification in Indian Head Massage which I also combine with my technique in Filipino Massage. I do psychic reading, dream interpretation, private readings, personal and spiritual guidance based in my experiences and research.
I started writing poetry in 2002 and discovered my gift of writing when I became a member of Poets’ workshop in 2005. My writing greatly improved and my first poetry book “The Messages” was published in December 2006. In January 2009, I started writing my second book “The Messages of My Dreams”, 40 Years Dream Diary (prophecies, warnings and reminders). While waiting the editing to finish, I had symbolic and prophetic dreams and visions in seven days, so I was able to write my third book “The Messages, Conversation with God against Satan” and was the first one to finish the editing by another published poet who offered to edit it, free of charge. A friend of mine offered to proofread it This is how my third book ( second poetry book )was completed first and was published in August 2010. My writing already helped and inspired many people of different nationalities around the world. Writing is my Devine inspiration and sharing it to inspire others is my great happiness.
My second written book, which is the third book published on my birthday in December 2010 is now available on my website and online shops and in book shops. In this book I have written which messages I have received through dreams and visions. Each dream has an explanation when they turned into reality, how it guided and helped me, how it helped other people and some dreams have interpretations and bible verses.
In February 2011 I had an interview by The Filipino Channel (TFC) reporter about my books. It was aired around the world and was reported in Balitang Europe. I kept on writing and have started two poetry books, one is poetry in cooking. I have also started another book of my dream diary from 2010 onwards. My local dialect (Ilonggo) poetry book is about to be published.
In July 2011, we opened our Health & Shape Wellness Centre in Ashford, Kent in the town centre. Our business place has four rooms so I use one room for my dressmaking, alterations and tutoring in September 2011. In April 2012 I opened the third room for my spiritual work ; my healing, massage and private readings. I also enrolled an energy healing course and I am about to be assessed.
In July 2013, I called a first meeting to a group of some Filipino Women to organise a Filipino Food festival and we agreed to be on 12 October 2013. The Festival was a great success and we have raised some amount of money with my intention to open a bank account for the “Tuboran sang Gugma-Spring of Love” foundation which I have created a group in facebook in August 2013. My aim is to help the needy in Iloilo, Philippines especially in my birth village. There are about 400 members as of November 2013.
In 8 November 2013, Haiyan typhoon devastated central Philippines including the northern part of my birth island of Panay. My birth village was badly devastated, I’m just thankful no casualties but the livelihood and businesses were destroyed. Three days after Haiyan hit Philippines, I started my fundraising to help my birth village. I have sent the money donated and bought 20 sacks of rice and a pig and has benefited over 300 families (over 1000 people). My fundraising continues as I want to help my birth village to recover. This is not a short term period. This is my mission and I know God is guiding me. SPREAD THE LOVE! GOD BLESS EVERYONE!
